What is Green Ticks?
Green Ticks is an Environmental Management System (EMS) which has been designed to offer you a methodology to register your organisation against the requirements of BS 8555:2003.
The Green Ticks scheme is unique to Scottish businesses and organisations and is recognised throughout the UK and Ireland.
What is BS 8555?
BS 8555 is a British Standard, designed as a method for businesses to manage their environmental impact in an affordable way. This standard is split into 6 Phases; each Phase has its own distinct achievement criteria underpinned by the EMS key principles.
BS 8555 was originally designed as a method for working towards ISO14001; however Phase 5 and 6 of Green Ticks exceed this standard.
How does it work?
Green Ticks will assist you to comply with legislation, reduce utility costs and manage environmental risks.
